Finally, free wifi. am now at a hostel in San Fran. its so cool, e last time i stayed in one was 4 yrs ago after prom with Rabbit and some others. this one is not as clean though but the location is great and the price not too ex. 100usd for 4 nites! its right in union square so shopping is right at our doorstep. i've been spending way out of my budget but i cant help it. if u see a coach handbag for $160 at 50%, what do you do?? buy it right? and a kate spade bag at $195 with 10% off was a tough decision to make but when i decided to get it, the register rang up a price of $160 and in e end i only paid $140 for it coz of e discount. its hard to stick to my budget. but im still happy =).

Anyway, funny thing happened on the 22/9. we missed our flight to Vegas and had to spend e nite in JFK. the flight was at 9.05am. we freaking left Skytop at 330am. and still bloody missed the flight. I didnt slp so i could finish up packing n also socialize. anyway, one thing good tt came out of it was i got this preeeetttyyy preeeetttyy pair of checkered shoes at century 21 in NYC. and.. i also got a liz claiborne wallet! preeettty too. we had good chinese food in Chinatown as well. wanton mee and beef n sotong porridge! yummzz.

Vegas was "awesome". took tons of pics and we sure did alot of walking. can run marathon ald. abit difficult to adjust to the timing coz its 3hrs behind NY. so by night we feel so tired when its only 930pm in Vegas. we managed to catch a TOPLESS show! that was nice but the girls should have done abit more teasing rather than come out topless . we gambled abit until we were so tired. we only played e slots, haha.

So for San Fran. we've decided to do some sight seeing n less shopping.altho there's this 3 storey forever21 like 2 blks away. just now ibought this pair of white shorts for 7.99. cheap lo. tmr we're gg on 2 cruises by e bay n gg to fisherman's wharf for crabs n fish! cant wait for tt.

okay.. im gg to eat my tom yum noodles for dinner. its 11pm here. 2am in NY and 2pm in Spore.

We had our day off on Wed! it was well spent indeed. in the morn we went to walmart n got some essentials. i bought a $4 tank top and a tinkerbell hoodie. we had wendy's for lunch which was pretty good. the mini burgers cost 99cents. yummy.

went back to play basketball n badminton. n we made a video. just felt lke dancing. coz aft the house party, we were so inspired to dance like them. we tried it out n the outcome... haha. check it out in facebook. its funny.

In the evening, Sam the bartender fetched us from e dorms. he brought us to this Italian restaurant near Scranton n i had to share with JH to save cost.still it was filling. cost us $20 total incl of gratituities. its considered cheap. later we went to a shopping mall in Scranton. i got to see all the stores that i always frequent online. like Wetseal, AnF, Aeropostle, AE and Victoria Secrets! ooh.. n the view from the Italian Restaurant was fantastic. check out pics in facebook. we got a good view of the baseball stadium. prettttyy.

Finally a nite off! We got offered to go to the nearby town fair! entrance fee was only $5 n e rides are free. food was expensive tho. had a lemonade tt cost $3 n a plate of funnel cake for $4. but i had fun. the guys played the games n won stuffed toys for us! i got a husky stuff animal. its my bolster now. we sat this ride which was supposedly a ferris wheel. but turns out it went quite quickly n it was so open tt me n jing hui were screaming all e way. lol. it didnt seem safe ok, felt like i was gg to fall out anytime, e worst part was when we were stuck at the top coz they were letting ppl off. omg. almost died. but i had fun, was so tired the nxt day at work but i didnt regret gg out at all!


and last nite we had a house party at a colleagues house. one of e inerexchange students will be leaving on mon. omg, u cant imagine how beautiful e house is. seriously, my dream home. she opened her basement for us to PARTY! there were disco lights, loud music n we were just dancing like crazy. there was also a fusball n pool table. challenged a few ppl n won a few rounds. played with her adorable son, he's sooo cute. got his pics but in jh's phone. so not able to load it for now. had so much fun, its an alt to clubbing. she had this pretty chandelier that hung from e celing when we entered. and everything in e house were perfectly decorated n furnished.

e nite sky was pretty too. millions of stars, havent seen so many in my life. i wish i could lay in the grass n just watch e stars. i wish i had tt house to live in.

Work is exhausting! I have to work every single day this week! kill me pls.

Last wed, my, jh n taiwan girl qiu mei had e day off. so we decided to ride a bike down to e bank. this new thai guy came along with us. lucky me, fell off e bike n crashed into jh. knocked my forehead rite in e middle, scratched my hands, two big toes n bruised my right thigh. skin ripped off e front of my two big toes. it hurt really bad e first day n i didnt bathe for 2 days coz i was so afraid it would sting. anyway, e medical kit i bought from NUS came to good use. had bandages in it so i could wrap up my toes.

went to the hospital to check if there was anything wrong with me. fortunately nothing. e hosp bills i heard are sky high. like $300 just to register urself. they didnt even give me any medication or bandages! lucky i have my own. so yea, within 1 day i managed to get back to work. thats $100 gone. i can walk better now but my hands still hurt. there's four BIG patches of blue-blacks on my right thigh. its scary. anyway pictures are in facebook.

and this sweeet sweet guy brought me to e hosp. jh, qiu mei n thai guy walked to walmart while i waited for 2 hrs ! at the hosp. then drove over to meet them later. bought some cute cards. on e way back we ate at this really good pizza place. best pizza ive tasted ever. n it was freaking huge.

e nxt nite Tim, the sweet guy, brough us out again! to 2 bars in the city of Stroudburg. this sports bar, where college kids go to, had cheap beer on thurs nites. $1usd for 4 cups of beer. n entrance fee was only $2. damn cheap. but i couldn't drink so not so good for me. i know Roger would love this place. Funny thing is how diff it is from Spore's pubs n bars. Pple here just sit or stand ard n chat with frens n drink. in Spore ppl will be singing Karaoke or there would be live music, or ppl would play drinking games. so.. diff culture.

My bdae is approaching once again. cant believe i'm gg to turn 22. eeww, tt sounds old. i've been browsing shopping sites online bcoz seriously, there's nth much to do up here. cant get out of this place to do some real shopping. where's my toyota vitz when i need it e most. so , i've decided to create a bdae wishlist. recently i've been having this thing abt tiffany bracelets, dunno why. ever since i saw e imitations at Chinatown in KL, i just fell in love with e charming bracelets. u noe u noe, like this one

another 5.5weeks more to go n its off to California!! This time i get to countdown twice to my bdae. one in Spore time, n another in Calif time. hehe. Planning to either catch the musical Mamma Mia, or watch a topless show or go clubbing on my bdae! the taiwanese girl will be joining us in e first week of our trip and we'll be meeting 2 e European guys at Vegas. they'll be renting a car so we can share cost n drive up to Grand Canyon n Hoover Dam tog. it'll be so fun! road trip in the US. i hope we dun get lost. n dun think i'll be driving coz its left hand drive here.

It's Singapore's National Day today! I woke up at 530am just to catch e live webcast of e NDP. the darn streaming got jammed up during e fireworks.. why of the whole parade does it have to get jammed at e most interesting part. Sigh, miss Singapore so much. esp the food. i'm so craving for hawker food, american food sucks sucks sucks. the only thing i can eat everyday is a cheeseburger. but they dun make that often n it's always hotdogs, pasta n sucky rice. once in awhile there's beef which i like.

only worked dinner today, n i left early coz i only had to serve 2 tables. skytop's busy today coz there are 2 weddings gg on. N, to make up for the jammed fireworks display on the webcast, i watched a whole 15mins of fireworks display here at Skytop! the couple must be super rich, either that, or fireworks here is really cheap. it was sooo pretty, e fireworks, that is.

finally got my 2nd paycheck! its not much but sufficient to pay back my father. hopefully e next pay check can clear e rest of my loan. i have to work 4 full shifts nxt week! which in a way is good bcoz it'll guarantee a $400 min for the week ald. which means bigger paycheck! which means shopppiiiiinng!!! argh, i wan to get out of here n go shopping! i dun care where i just wan to buy sth. it's 1055pm, i'm still alone in e room. my roomies are still working so i guess it must be really busy at the main lodge, with e wedding and all. so bored.

I got my first table today! i served 2 tables. was so nervous having to serve them. Like when they're in e middle of a conversation n i dunno whether to stand there n wait to take their order gor walk away first den go back. anyway.. didnt make many mistakes but i broke 1 wine glass, it fell off e table when i knocked the table accidentally.

Also, got my first pay check today. usd$94 for 2 days, 14hrs in total. JH's so depressed over her paycheck.. hope she'll get more the nxt time coz the pay now is most prob trainee pay.


got to work at 730am tmr for breakfast. it's a full day tmr, long day... but.. just think of e money
